Individuals with communication challenges

We empower individuals with speech and/or language challenges by making communication more accessible — and more personal. Our AAC devices offer simple, customizable tools that help people express themselves, build confidence, and stay connected at home, in their communities, and beyond.

1983
Pilot Studies Begin
Dr. Richard Steele and team launch the first studies on computer-based speech tools, marking the start of research to help people with severe aphasia communicate better.

Lingraphica Is Founded
Following promising research results, a group of investors provided seed funding to establish Lingraphica. Setting the foundation for decades of speech technology innovation.

First Lingraphica Device Sold
Lingraphica releases its first speech-generating device, approved by the Veterans Administration for eligible users seeking improved communication.

Medicare Reimbursement Secured
