FAQs

Are Lingraphica devices covered by the VA?

Yes! VA benefits commonly cover most or even the entire cost of AAC devices for eligible Veterans. Because AAC devices are considered medical equipment, a SLP must confirm that the device is medically necessary for the VA to provide funding.

How long does the trial last?

A trial typically lasts anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks. This is your time to get familiar with the device, explore how it fits into your daily life, and see if it meets your communication needs.

What if I need training?

We provide free, lifetime remote training for all Veterans and care partners.

How do I know if this is right for me?

The best way to find out is to try it for free! Our trial makes it easy to see if the device fits your needs. Not ready to start? Give us a call — we’re happy to talk through how it might benefit your specific needs.

Why Lingraphica? A legacy of Veteran support

Lingraphica’s commitment to Veterans began over 35 years ago with groundbreaking research at the Palo Alto VA Rehabilitation R&D Center.

Our co-founder, Dr. Richard Steele, led the development of one of the first computer-based communication systems for people with aphasia. Today, we continue that mission — helping Veterans regain their independence and communication through trusted AAC technology.
