Overcoming Communication Challenges

Published on Jul 22, 2026

In this 1-hour webinar, we’ll share simple strategies and tools to help people with communication challenges and their caregivers communicate more easily, feel more confident, and join in conversations at home and in the community.

Whether you are living with aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, voice changes, or thinking and memory challenges—or supporting someone who is—this session will provide encouragement, tools, and ideas you can start using right away.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Communicate using simple strategies and tools
  • Use more than one way to share your message (like gestures, writing, or AAC)
  • Work with friends, family, or providers to support communication
  • Practice communication in real-life situations

This session is designed to be accessible and easy to follow, with clear language, helpful visuals, and time to reflect.

*This webinar is not eligible for ASHA CEUs.
