Trial
Performed by: Clinical Consultant
Processing Time: Up to 3 weeks
What’s Happening: We support you through the 3-week trial through a required consultation and weekly check-ins to determine your client’s interest and potential with the device. Your Clinical Consultant will discuss the process for returning the loaner device.
Prescription
Performed by: Clinical Documentation Team
Processing Time: 3 Week Average
What’s Happening: We will provide instructions on accessing the Smart Paperwork Portal, where you will find the required documentation. We send a written order request for the device to the client’s physician for a signature, along with a medical records request.
*Some insurances require prior authorization for coverage. If needed, our Authorization team will work on requesting this which could take an additional few weeks.
Shipping
Performed by: Customization and Fulfillment Team
Processing Time: 1-2 Day Average
What’s Happening: After a Clinical Documentation Specialist confirms insurance coverage, we will contact the client’s family or yourself to confirm shipping details, then begin prepping the device for shipping! If you still have the loaner device, we ask you to back up the data to the cloud.
